Expand Your Horizons

Italian culture is diverse and rich in history. Considered one of the birthplaces of western civilization, Italy is known for its art collections, architecture, literature, food and more. As a CIMBA student, you’ll have the unique opportunity to partake in many cultural immersion activities through our Cultural Exploration Program.

Visit the Palladian Villas

 Visit the world-famous Palladian Villas designed by renowned architect Andrea Palladio over 450 years ago. Many of these villas still stand and are within an hour of campus.

Travel to Possagno

Travel to the nearby village of Possagno where you can see world-famous sculptor Antonio Canova’s tomb and a museum that features his birthplace and works of art.

Ceramics in Nove

Nove is one of the ceramics capitals of Italy. Nove’s small factories are known for producing goods for Lenox, Williams-Sonoma, Vietri and more.

Explore the Italian Countryside

Explore the neighboring countryside with faculty and students. Pick olives on Mount Grappa, walk to the nearby town of Crespano to explore the open market, or take a bus ride to Bassano del Grappa where Ernest Hemingway was injured in WWI and began writing his epic novel, “A Farewell to Arms.”

Explore Treviso’s Market

 Famous for its ramparts and medieval moats, Treviso hosts an exciting antiques market on the fourth Sunday of each month. It is also the birthplace of Tiramisu and is located just 45 minutes from campus.

Shopping

Italy is the ultimate shopping destination, and you’ll have ample time to spend at boutiques, shopping centers, galleries and more. CIMBA students often visit United Colors of Benetton, Northwave and Luxottica, while Diesel and Geox are located near campus.
